It’s getting to be that time of October. The time where caramel apples and pumpkin lattes and spiderweb decor is abundant. It also means it’s the perfect time to have a hauntingly beautiful halloween wedding. But instead of going the traditional black and orange route for inspiration, I decided to create what I think would be beautiful and unique halloween wedding inspiration.

I am in lust with that deep burgundy velvet dress. I love that color for a halloween wedding paired with some reds, pinks, ivory, and black. And course the fun Betsy Johnson skull ring is a must too!

I love all of the black lace, skulls, and black cameos! It adds a nice dark side while still being incredibly beautiful.

If I had a halloween wedding, this dark bouquet (courtesy of the knot) would be the one I would carry.

I would wrap up the bouquet with black velvet ribbon or black lace and instead of using all flowers, add some black feathers into the mix for a fun, luxurious look. It’s spooky how pretty this is!

The dress below might be one of my favorite dresses of all time. Not just for a halloween wedding. The black lace trim adds just enough of a different look while still maintaining the beauty of the dress. Cut some eye holes in the veil for a ghostly look! (Ok, just kidding. Don’t do that. Even though it would be kind of funny….)

I know, I know, the watermark kills me! It’s such a beautiful dress though. I’m unsure of the designer, but I do know that it is sold at Kleinfeld’s.

I’m equally in loooove with Dita Von Teese’s iridescent purple wedding gown. What do you think? I think it suits her.

A dark cake in black fondant would be lovely, like the one below from Daisy Hill Cakes….

Gaw-juss!

Or you could inject some fun and color and serve up these Dia de Los Muertos skull cookies instead! (They get my vote….and they look soooo yummy. I’m a sucker for a frosted sugar cookie.) I found them here.

The decorations are fun, but keep with the theme as well!

What do you think about the halloween wedding idea? Would you go with cobwebs and pumpkins while doing the monster mash, or would you stick to a more traditional look with a twist?

That bridal gown looks like a Romona Keveza. The styling of the photo and the cut of the dress makes me almost certain. I wasn't able to find a picture on her website to confirm, though.

Oh,and I LOVE Dita Von Teese's wedding gown. Definitely one of the coolest I've ever seen. The design is a great traditional ball gown, but the color is so unexpected. Love it.

  • I love those two top dresses! I also like the touch of black lace on the bridal gown.

I adore the black lace shoes. It's a new spin on an old classic. It has a retro look with the delicate lace. However, it has an edgy vibe because the lace is black. Definitely the way to pull off an Elegant yet Halloween look.
