Fellas, let’s talk tuxedos. Being a groom is probably one of the few times in our lives that wearing a tux is appropriate. Some of you may want to take a little advice from Jay Gatsby and suit up for this magical occasion. And guess what? You don’t have to look all extra-formal and stuffy while you do it. Here are a few non-traditional ways we’ve found to sport a slick tuxedo for the big day.
Combatant Gentleman Navy Tux
Navy is a fun and easy way to do a formal look that’s just a little different. This one from Combatant Gentlemen also comes in heather gray and is only $200!
J Crew Chambray Tuxedo
Ditch the plain ole white button up for a seasonal pattern to mix it up. (IN LOVE with this Chambray Tux, btw.) J. Crew, $525.
Etsy Banded Collar Bib Tux Shirt
Here’s a neat idea: A banded collar bib tux shirt — no tie necessary! It still looks great even without the jacket. Etsy seller SixStarUniforms, $18.95 & Up.
Tuxedo T-Shirt from Etsy seller YouHadMeAtInk
Sorry, you guys. I couldn’t help myself. It is a fun groom’s gift though. Etsy seller YouHadMeAtInk, $16
Men's Warehouse Gray Tuxedo
The best thing about this color and style is that you could use these pieces separately for any occasion. Men’s Wearhouse, $695.
Burgundy Tuxedo
Way into this color for a tuxedo, it’s really unexpected. The vest is a great way to make it polished even without the jacket. Amazon, $109.97.
