Finding alternatives when you fall in love with something unique is super challenging.

I’ve fallen head over heels for Catherine Deane’s Lita gown, and even though I’m still in the early stages of my dress hunt and I’ve seen plenty of others that I’ve liked, I can’t get this dress out of my head. It’s probably a stretch, because it’s such a unique dress and the sum of the details is what has made me so enchanted by it, but if you could attempt a Can’t Afford It, Get Over It post with similar (way cheaper!) alternatives, I would be so grateful. Thanks!

This has been by far the toughest challenge thrown my way thus far. You’re right, the details do make it difficult to replicate.

Catherine Deane’s Lita Gown ($2,400 at BHLDN)

Aiguille Gown ($1,200 at BHLDN)

Astoria Frill Wedding Dress (£197.50 at Phase Eight)

Cream Champagne Chiffon Gown ($319 at Entre Nous Bridal via Etsy)

Margarete ($478.99 at Ruche)

Viola ($399.99 at Ruche)

Crinkle Chiffon Column Gown ($449.99 at David’s Bridal)

Beaded Gown with Illusion Bodice ($199.99 at David’s Bridal)

Clearly nothing is a perfect match but I focused on a variety of the possible details you might like. Another option: consider buying a dress that matches the basic silhouette of the Deane gown,  then add a shawl or some sort of lace-inspired sleeve to achieve the look you really want. Any other ladies out there have a possible solution?
