Hey BAB’s! I don’t know where y’all are at, but here in Chicago or “Chiberia”, it’s BRRRRZZ. So, stay warm and drink lots of hot toddies, and watch all of the ’90s cheese on Netflix, (’cause there’s a lot of it) while you still can. Anywho, the real reason we’re here: Berta strikes again. I did a request a while back featuring some Israeli designers and I believe she was included. Her designs have captured the heart of reader Ashley and nothing has been quite the same since she saw this dress. Well, we have to do something about that! With all the pretty out there, surely we’ll be able to find something for you, lady! Here’s what Ashley had to say:

“Hi! Hopefully you can help. Thanks to the all powerful…and EVIL…Pinterest, I have fallen in love with a wedding gown. A Berta Wedding Gown. An $8,580 Berta Wedding Gown. And every dress I have tried on since, does not remotely compare! My budget for the dress is below $3K. HELP PLEASE!”

Damn you, Pinterest! But also, THANK YOU you evil, evil thing … but so awesome. The Pinterest struggle is real, you guys.

I know you really like the long, lacy sleeves so I tried to stick with that, but I wanted to include a couple different options still featuring those lovely lace details. Plus, since BHLDN just released their new line, I HAD to include something from them because: PRETTY. ALL OF IT. SO MUCH. I hope I gave you some ideas to help you find that perfect dress! Please let me know if I can help in any other way. Until next week, BABs …

I have a question: have you guys actually ordered things from places like BestBridalPrices.com to verify that they actually send quality dresses? There are so many knockoff sites that send you poorly made crappy versions of things it would be nice to know if the ones you are recommending have been verified legit. ?

    • Tortelainey

Hi Tabby! Yes, unfortunately there are a lot of bad, knockoff bridal companies out there. I have done research on BestBridalPrices which is why I use it so often. They’re a reputable company located in Western Illinois, close to St. Louis, and they’ve been around for a long time. They also have a lowest price guarantee which is really nice. I encourage you to look up their reviews through Google so you can see for yourself. A very high percentage of their customers seem satisfied with their purchases. Thanks for reading!

  • Sarah Liwen Smith

Am loving the style 16-03 from Berta’s 2016 collection! Would love if it’s below 2.5k… Could you help please!

    • Hi Sarah!

We’re happy to help! We’ve added your request to the list, but please be patient as this column is our most popular, so the queue is a bit long. Rest assured, however, that Team Broke-Ass is on the case!

Ok, So I went into a fancy bridal salon, knowing full well I wouldn’t be able to afford a gown from there….and of course I fell for a Berta 1625 gown. Sticker shocker, only $11 000 (I think, it could have actually been $14 000 CAD). Anyhow, any similar dresses? I found the dress for $200 on DHgate from a few designers…but does that sound too good to be true? I personally like the dress without the overlay skirt…Looking forward to your thoughts!

  • Mandy J

Absolutely in love with Berta style 15-101 (long sleeves, backless, godet train, geometric inspired details). My budget is $3k and under. Thank you!!

  • Georgia Ann
