Clutches are one of my very favorite wedding day accessories for a few reasons — I think they’re super cute, they’re totally versatile (like, use it for all the pre-wedding parties and events well after the day) and look amazingly chic with your wedding day ensemble. Not to mention they carry the shit you’ll find yourself wanting — lipstick, tissues, vows, bobby pins, mints … your basic emergency goodies that you may not want to stick your brigade with. Bonus: If you opt out of flowers, clutches make a great substitute for something pretty to carry! Here are five of my faves for under $100.

Etsy ModDotTextiles Ivory and Gold Clutch

Gold and Ivory Clutch, $38 from Etsy seller ModDotTextile

These come in so many different patterns and designs, but I’m hard crushing on the angular one in the center.

Macys Style & Co Floral Clutch

Style & Co. Lily Pansy Floral Clutch, $21.99 at Macy’s

Bold florals make a beautiful statement, and will jazz up any outfit after the wedding. ModCloth Hooked on Symphonics Clutch

Hooked on Symphonics Clutlch, $49.99 from ModCloth

A shoulder strap makes this clutch totally versatile from hand-held to wearable.

Nordstrom Glint Metallic Clutch

Glint Metallic Envelope Clutch, $48 at Nordstrom

Classic gold with sleek lines is a perfect choice for your wedding day and will be sure to shine in photos.

Etsy DavieandChiyo Rose Gold Sequin Clutch

Rose Gold Sequin Clutch, $55 from Etsy seller DavieandChiyo

Rose gold? Check! Sequins? Check! Under $100? CHECK! This clutch covers like, ALL the bases of being a totally amazing accessory.

Which one is your favorite? Are you planning on carrying a clutch on your wedding day?

    ModCloth Perennial Dress

Perennial Poise Dress, $250 from ModCloth

Shopping for a wedding dress is one of the huge milestones of the wedding planning process — and can often be intimidating and overwhelming. This can be even more true when you’re a Broke-Ass Bride and are operating on a v. tight budget. While some broke-ass couples may allocate more for the wedding gown (because there are some of us who put that as a high priority, and good on ya, girl!), there are also a number of us who cringe at the thought of dropping some serious dough on a dress they may only wear once. Putting a strict threshold on the amount you’re willing to shell out for your gown may limit your options — you can pretty much count out that schmancy bridal salon — it does open up the doors for some creative shopping. For this week’s Five for Friday, I dug up some perhaps surprising places where you can get your wedding dress online, and for a measly $500 or less.

While Asos is often known as an affordable stop for adorable clothes for work and play (guys, they have a great selection of extended lines, too — plus, tall, petite and maternity), they’re also a total hidden gem for gorgeous dresses that can easily translate to wedding attire. They have a huge selection under $500, which should leave enough room in your budget to accessorize the hell outta yourself!

I mean, is anyone really surprised ModCloth made this list? Their super cute vintage styles are everything a Broke-Ass Bride could dream of — and in recent months, they’ve expanded to include very wedding-specific styles, all at a price point that would make any BAB happy.

While Shopbop may be better known for high-end designers and labels, if you dig deep enough into their Wedding Boutique, you’ll find a plethora of gorgeous frocks that totally fit a Broke-Ass budget. With names like Badgley Mischka, Rachel Zoe and Jill Stuart, you can totally rock a designer gown without forking over too much cash.

The well-known department store has a gorgeous selection of wedding dresses — but many fall well outside the parameters of what Broke-Asses may want to pay. The real hidden treasure at Nordstrom is in their bridesmaid dress selection — most of which come in some shade of white or off-white, and bear labels by the likes of Jenny Yoo and Monique Lhuillier. Score one of these beauties for a fraction of the cost of a wedding gown by the same designer and rock your wedding day in style!

What’s not to love about Anthropologie’s wedding line? Very little, in our opinions. Often a go-to resource for our “Can’t Afford It? Get Over It!” column because of their approachable price points, BHLDN has certainly become a mainstay here on BAB. While most of the gowns run in the $900-$2000 range, checking under the Reception Dresses or Sale tabs will yield a whole wonderland of beautiful options for well under $500.

    Rosa by Katya Katya Shehurina

Happy November, BABs! Reader Amanda has been bitten by the lace gown bug, and left a request on this CAI / GOI post: I have been searching for a vintage-inspired gown that fits my budget. I can't see spending over $1000 for a dress (and would feel more comfortable if I spent under $1000). Most of the dresses that I like are made by designers…

    Rue de Seine Violet

Happy Thursday, BABs! Today's CAI/GOI request is from reader Sarah, who is searching for a Rue de Seine "Violet" look-alike for under $700. She writes: "Honestly, I don't want to spend more than $700 and am even hoping to spend considerably less, if possible. But I'd love to see anything in the $100-$800 range in case there's anything I might be able to find on…

    Naomi Neoh Clementine

Is it really Thursday again? You bet! And that means a new CAI/GOI post is in order. This week's request was from reader Shannon, who wrote in looking for a gown like the "Clementine" from Naomi Neoh. Her request posed two challenges, as the "Clementine" is only available in the UK and it retails for £2,900 ... that would be over $4,400, a wee bit…
