Hey, hey BABs! Today’s CAI/GOI request is a stunner! Reader Alix commented on this post with:
“My mom always said I had champagne taste with a beer budget, she was right. I found a Galia Lahav dress, from the Dolce Vita Collection, the Dolce, and I fell in love with it before I looked at the price tag. I love the v neck, its fitted, the partial lace with stretch satin, keyholes on the sides and the back is to die for. Its sexy and elegant at the same time. Trying to find anything similar for under $3,000!“
The “Dolce” has so many gorgeous details! Russian-born Galia Lahav has been designing couture gowns for over 30 years. Known for her lavish, luxurious designs, Galia prides herself in producing items in her Israeli home studio to custom made standards. Every gown is crafted by highly trained specialists using top of the line materials and equipment. Galia is world-renowned, and with that, her gowns do not come cheap, ranging $6,000-$19,500. Yep, Alix…champagne taste. But your $3,000 dress budget is definitely something we can work with. Let’s check out some “Dolce”-inspired gowns!
Not every dress listed above has all of the features of the “Dolce” gown, but some come pretty close. The Mori Lee gowns all have beautiful back details, so be sure to click through the links to check those out. I think the closest look-alikes to the “Dolce” would be the gowns made by DressesLioness (Lioness & Lioness Couture) on Etsy. That shop, from France, produces a number of dresses that are fitted, with bits of lace and many other sexy little details, much like the Galia Lahav number.
Well, Alix, how did we do? If you love any of these lookalikes, please let us know in the comments. Good luck on your gown search!
