I don’t know about you BABs, but I am all about the big thaw just around the corner! The bunnies are out, the birds have returned, and the daffodils (and wait, weeds?!) are already beginning to pop up! We’ve survived Friday the 13th, the Ides of March and the green beer, so now it’s time for another edition of Can’t Afford It? / Get Over It!
Reader Chelsea just might be the best MOH a girl could ask for. She wrote to us for help finding her bride bestie’s dream gown: a Watters Nyra-inspired dress for under $1,500. The Nyra has a flattering sweetheart neckline and A-line silhouette, with a dose of baroque-style feminine embroidery — a modern take on a classic look. The gown comes in ivory/ivory, or two-tone combinations with an Ivory overlay and lining colors including almond, blush, champagne, and rose gold to highlight the ornate embroidery. Never fear, Chelsea, the #GownHunter is here!
Wtoo is a division of Watters Bridal, so this gown is made by the same company as the inspiration gown!
This gown comes in ivory, ivory over light gold, and an ivory/light gold ombre over light gold (shown).
Christen here: Guys, I recently got the chance to try this gown on (stay tuned!) and it’s AMAZING. I felt so wonderful in it that it was sad to take it off. The beading is RIDIC.
This last one stretches the bride’s budget by $50, but it was too lovely to pass up!

Lisa’s Bonus Pro Tip: Just like with Watters & Wtoo, if you find a designer gown you can’t live without, check to see if there’s a sister company with a version that fits *your* budget.
