Clockwise from Top:
Stuart Weitzman $84 //Badgley Mischka $97 // Moda Spana $45 // Caparros $35 //
Martinez Valero $80 // Calvin Klein $94

Do you plan to play it safe with your wedding shoes, or are you doing something a little untraditional? Let me know in the comments below!

For most brides, the dress is something that we wear on the wedding day and that’s it – one and done. But wedding shoes, well, we can wear these over and over! Since the holidays are coming, I wanted to put together a roundup of sparkly, bling-tacular shoes that can be worn by a bride, wedding guest, or holiday partygoer. And all of these are $150 or less!
1. Topshop $110 // 2. J. Renee $80 // 3. Urban Outfitters $49 // 4. Old Navy $35 //
5. Jeffrey Campbell $120 // 6. Steve Madden $150

No, dirty birdies. The booties you put on your feet! I’ve got a bride who is in love with a pair that costs a whopping $625! If you’re a broke ass bride, then you’re probably saying, “Well, I can’t even spend that much on my dress, let alone on a pair shoes!” Let’s see what bride Lauren wrote:
I need CAI/GOI help!
Casually looking for the perfect shoes for my upcoming wedding, I came across Ann Roth’s Swoon booties and fell in love with them! I am a budget bride, but am finding myself continually going back to look at them again and againm trying to justify this splurge. Save me from blowing my budget! Your CAI/GOI are so helpful. Got any suggestions for me?

Reader Request:
Oh my gosh, please help! I think my fiance has picked one of the hardest shades in the world to color match without having stuff dyed. The best way to really to describe it is medium to medium-dark peachy orange. I love it, but it’s driving me crazy. Due to my coloring, and my MOH’s coloring, we decided their dresses should be black… but I really want them to wear shoes in the peachy color. Preferably with 3in or lower heel, and none of that hempy type looking material often found on beachy wedges. I’m going nuts looking at shoes, which I can only stand to do so much of. Can you help? Please?
I can help, but first, a question: why are you opposed to having the shoes dyed? It’s probably the easiest way to match a color, and dyeable shoes are usually fairly reasonably priced. Think about it!
But here are some other options for you!
Vince Camuto, $150:

Luxury Rebel, $84:

Forever 21, $23:

Vince Camuto, $54:
Chinese Laundry, $62:

Daniblack, $130:

Best of luck in your search!

Here’s our latest reader request:
Help! I can’t stop thinking about the Manolo Blahnik Something Blue shoes!!!! I LOVE the color and the bit of bling, but there is no way I could pay the $945 they want at the store for them! Do you have any ideas for something similar but under $100??
Nice choice of shoes! Carrie Bradshaw thought so, too.

These are an incredibly popular (and fabulous, and expensive) wedding shoe, but luckily, I was able to find some cheaper alternatives for you!
First: The Martinez Valero Zenith. I noticed this shoe last year, and it used to come in blue. It’s pretty much a direct knockoff. If I were you, I’d check eBay for a blue pair. Or maybe, just maybe, you can contact an expert and see if this white pair can be dyed blue (but please contact an expert! We are not shoe-dying experts here and we don’t want you to ruin the shoes).
They cost just $80.

Here are some more funky blue pumps. Some are a bit over $100, but as you go further down the list, they get cheaper and cheaper!
Pour La Victoire, $159:

Menbur, $115:

Paco Mena, $109:

Menbur, $80:

Menbur, $79:

Nina, $69:

Martinez Valero, $64:

Me Too, $61:

Martinez Valero, $61:

I hope that this gives you plenty of choices for your wedding day. And don’t forget to come back and show us which shoes you choose!

And the reader requests keep a-comin! Yay!
One reader is looking for a pair of low-heeled t-straps or mary janes. She wants to be able to wear orthotics inside of them, and classifies herself as “eccentric.” Her budget for the shoes is $100 or less.
I think we can help you out!
These Gabriella Rocha Mary Janes come in a ton of different colors. They’re priced differently based on color, but none of them costs more than $39. Here are some of my favorites:

These Circa by Joan and David shoes are absolutely adorable and ring up at $99.

I love these slick kitten heels with a bold black band. They cost just $63.

These Steve Madden mary janes are simple and versatile, for just $80.

These baby blue satin heels from RSVP are delicate and romantic. They cost $69.

And the brand Chelsea Crew has a lot of good low heels.
Black, $58

Red, $60

Blue, $70

I hope that one of these pairs of shoes will be just perfect for you! And please come back and show us what you bought!
Does anyone else have any suggestions for eccentric, low-heeled wedding shoes?

This weeks wedding inspiration is all about color! I love lots of it. Color, color, color! When it comes to choosing wedding colors, it can be a bit overwhelming. Do you go with your favorite color? Do you go with a color that will look good on all of your bridesmaids? How do you find inspiration for color combinations?
Well, whenever I need to find new color combos or inspiration, I look to nature. I visit a butterfly exhibit, I walk through gardens and the flower mart, and I even find inspiration in the produce section. Crazy, I know, but some of the best color combinations are sitting right in front of us on our kitchen counters! So I’m starting a new short series where I’ll be using fruit as inspiration for wedding colors. This week, we’re starting at the beginning (it’s a very good place to start) of the rainbow with some reds and oranges!
Red and green is a great color combo. Most people think it’s reserved for Christmas and the holidays, but if you pair a coral-y red with a lime or olive green, tah-dah! You get a fantastic combination of colors that pop! It’s so perfect for the summer too!
This color combination was inspired by peaches and blood oranges. I love the reds and peachy oranges paired with pops of yellow. Staying in the same color family is a great idea for a bride who wants color in her wedding, but doesn’t want to go too crazy with it. Putting your bridesmaids in all different shades of the same color family also looks great in photos, and allows you to pick colors that compliment all of your bridesmaids.
Not gonna lie, this last color combo is my new favorite! Who would have thought that orange and green would look good together?! I think I need to go out and buy an outfit like this for myself. I’m just head over heels with the sea foam greens and peachy colors here.
What do you think? Would you use this bold color combination for your wedding? How are you deciding on colors for your big day? What are they? Let us know in the comments. We’d love to hear from you!
And if you would like your own wedding inspiration board tailored for you and your wedding, drop us an email and we’ll create something specially for you.

This week is all about curing a case of the ‘Something Blues’ with a beautiful pair of bridal shoes! Bride Beth wrote in asking for help finding her ‘something blue’ in shoe form after the price tag on a pair of Badgley Mischka pumps made her blue:
Hi,
I have been searching for the PERFECT something blue wedding shoes for months now. Those that know me well call me the shoe diva (much to my embarrassment). I am absolutely in LOVE with these shoes by Badgley Mishka–actually with almost all of their shoes–but I simply can’t afford $200 shoes. Can you help?

Etsy.com has an enormous selection of shoe clips. Sellers showcase everything from flowers to feathers for all your shoe bedazzling needs. So if you see a pair of Get Over It shoes you like below, but they don’t showcase a flower like the Badgley Mischka’s, then head to Etsy to find your feet the perfect flair. Here’s a few that I adore from seller Fink Shop:

Or at Ban.do they have sequined hearts, poms, bows and more in shoe clip form!

What happens when you fall in love with a pair of shoes that cost $1000? You write an email to moi, requesting I find it for a fraction of that (insane) cost. Most of the ladies that read this here blog don’t even come close to spending $1000 on their actual wedding dress. So imagine yourself in broke-ass bride Stacey’s position. She wrote in requesting that I find her the Get Over It version of her shoe desire: Alexander McQueen’s $1000 Lace Covered Pumps. A pair of shoes that she said, “cost more than her wedding dress.”
