Y’all have some major love for Berta gowns! Today’s CAI/GOI request is from Amber, who commented on this previous Berta post. She writes:
“HELP! I also fell in love with a Berta gown, Berta 15-18 to be exact. My budget is around $3,000. Any recommendations?? Thanks!”
The Berta gown in question is an embellished lace sheath number, complete with detachable train, from the 2015 Spring/Summer collection. It features a low, open back, deep v-neck, sheer bodice, and beading. In my hunt for look alike gowns, I focused on sleeveless gowns with similarly shaped bodices and curve-hugging lace. Let’s see the roundup!
What do you think, Amber? I think the Maggie Sottero gown and the BHLDN Elise Gown are my favorites, and both have lace patterns similar to the Berta. Do any of the above gowns help get your mind off the Berta? Let us know in the comments!
Any of you BABs out there think you can do better? We’re looking for a couple of frugal fashionistas to take on the task of helping our readers #GetOverIt! If you’re interested, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with subject #CAIGOI and a link to a Pinterest board of a designer dress and your broke-ass worthy alternative finds!
Got a gown that you just can’t get off your mind? We’re happy to help you get over it! Just tell us in the comments below! Please remember to include the budget you’re working with so we can find you the best alternative for you.
