{Can’t Afford It/Get Over It} Under $300 with Va-Va-Voom Butt Hugging Gloriousness

I was going to write up a sassy little blurb about bride (and mom of 4!) Courtney’s CAI/GOI request… but the gal’s email says it all.  Have a look:

Hello there!

I love your blog. It is positively amazing!  My fiance proposed this last Christmas. The wedding isn’t until August 2012. At the local wedding expo in March, I tried on a dress… I fell in love instantly! It’s amazing, and fabulous, and gets rid of any evidence I have carried four children to term.

It’s lacy, beaded, and has that va-va-voom butt hugging gloriousness to it. To put it simply, it is Perfect for our 1940s Hollywood Premiere Glam wedding. Except, it retails at $1200. I do indeed have 4 kids, and I have a very hard time spending money on myself. Especially for something I’ll wear one day. I may be insane for hoping, but I would love to Get Over this dress for under $300.

    Hi Britt – I've already got a dress but I also really enjoy your CAI/GOI posts!

    In other news, I thought I'd make an observation that may or may not mean anything to you. I think your RSS feed might be "stuck." My Google Reader account hasn't been updating your blog and when I complained to my fiance about it (denouncing Google and ranting a little), he gently pointed out that the problem was not with GR but with your feed. He's a computer guy. I'll take his word for it. :)

    I don’t know if you’d be down to do this, Courtney, but you can get eBay wedding dress wholesalers in China to copy any dress for you. Mine was around a hundred bucks:

    Same here on the RSS feed thing! It's been doing that for a couple months now I think. Because I mostly just use my reader, I miss my brokeassbride for weeks until all of a sudden, there's like 40 posts to catch up on!
