i got my gown (that is now discontinued but possibly still available) from maggie sottero, called VIVIEN….same cap crystal sleeves! so happy to see i'm a true broke ass bride in the most fashionable, best sense of the word!

I will have to keep these dresses in mind when I start looking at dresses. Here's to hoping I can lose 10 pounds for the dress trying on.

  3. Tabatha

I LOVE these dresses! Almost every one of them is gorgeous (to me anyway), good thing I already have a dress that I love for less than these too. :D

I love the dresses but I know I couldnt afford most of them. I have been looking at dresses online and I found a site that you can get designer and celeb inspired dresses for reasonable prices. The best part is that you can get the bridal, bridesmaids, flower girls, tux and ceremony stuff all at the same place. The clothing can be custom made. You could either choose a general size or pay $30 more each for something to be custom fit. Another way it could be custom is by the color selection. If you are as exciting as I am about it go to Lightinthebox.com

I am going to order my dresses and other stuff from here!

    Enjoy!

Just a fair warning, I got an email from a bride recently who had a horrible experience with Light in the Box. I can't speak on it one way or the other. Just make sure to read lots of reviews before ordering, ok? Good luck, and let us know how it goes!

#9 is beautiful! Love the suggestions!

I'm so happy you guys like those dresses :) I was worried they were too out there. I'm sure he'll love me in anything but I want to look "remember this moment for the rest of your life" good.

#5… Elegant without being busy, and keeps the woman as the center of attention. Will they remember you – or the dress? #16 & #10 as reserves… Still classy, but not overly intrusive… (#10 is a stretch)

Nosey? Nah, just got my attention briefly… Always like to "peek" when I see sites I have no clue about…

    ;-p'''

    Party on, dudette…

Warning about knock-off sites. I work with a professional bridal gown seamstress. Most of the knock off gowns that are purchased online for a few hundred dollars end up costing twice as much to alter as a normal wedding gown that costs more. The fabric is too cheap to fit well and ends up needing way more work as a result. Something to keep in mind when buying a dress. :)

Dont forget to check out Camille La Vie gowns for under $1000 (more like $500-600) – _ _http://www.camillelavie.com/dress/Bridal-Gowns_Shirred-Silk-Charmeuse-Wedding-Dress-with-Beads_10073-TBE1783W.cfm__

    Hey Britt,

I know you already did a CAI/GOI post on Amsale gowns, but would you do one on the Amsale Coco? It's my dream dress (as well as that of a few of my friends) and I'd really appreciate it. (http://www.amsale.com/bridal/amsalecollection/080707/coco.shtml)

I really like the ultra thin straps and silhouette in general. The triangle bust (is that what you call it?) could come or go.. that'd be difficult to fit on my non-small chest =)

Thanks so much for all you do.

  12. Lady C

I love the Amsale, too. I think it would be pretty simple and affordable for a seamstress to add very thin spaghetti straps –would that make them capellini straps? :) — if you found a strapless dress that you like. There are so many strapless dresses out there right now that your options would be endless.

I am a big fan of Nordstrom (best customer service ever!) and they had this dress which I think is beautiful–I love the cummerbund waist that is similar to your Amsale. http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/eliza-j-beaded-lace-i…

I also saw this at Neiman Marcus and thought it was gorgeous: http://beta.neimanmarcus.com:80/store/product.jsp…

    Happy hunting!

  13. Taylor Coil

Wow, thanks for the suggestions! I'll be sure to ask a seamstress for capellini straps ;)

STOP THE PRESSES. You can get this exact dress in Oleg Cassini for David's Bridal form. When I saw this dress on the show I thought to myself "Self, I have seen this dress before." This is it. You'd have to go used because it's been discontinued but if you found it it would be the exact dress pretty much. Here's an ad for one that gives you the dress number so you can search for it, in case this isn't your size. http://www.oncewed.com/38855/used-wedding-dresses…

  15. Tracie

Thanks for responding to my request and your hard efforts. Sorry to say I'm not thrilled with any of the suggested GOI gowns. Search goes on….

  16. Fashion Magazines

I really like how many of these accentuate your curves. Think I will need one of those, my curves need a little help.
