{Can’t Afford It/Get Over It} Low-back & Lacey
This week’s CAI/GOI comes from a bride who knows exactly what she wants in a bridal gown: V-neck low-back, V-neck front, lace, with a romantic feel. And she even gave me a price range to stick to. This bride is after my own heart I think… So as a thank you for her detailed request, I made sure every get over it gown I found were to her exact specifications. Hopefully she thinks so too! Read what bride Christa had to say:
I just found your website while searching for a dress similar to my “dream dress”- the Jim Hjelm 8800. The dress retails for around $4000 but my budget is between 1000-1750ish. There’s some flexibility since my mom is getting it for me as a gift, but I’d rather not spend too much since I realize I’ll only be wearing it for a few hours. Could you find something similar? What I love about it is the lace throughout the dress, and the V-Neck front and back. I also like that the dress feels very “pretty” and “romantic”. I know you do dresses for much lower price tags but I have a bit more to spend and hope you don’t mind helping out. Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated.
Christa

Ooh I like the Maggie Sottero and the Allure ones!!
I LOVE this style of dress, but my budget is lower – say $600? Could you pretty please, with sugar on top, find some of them? THANK YOU!
That photo of the Blush by Jim Hjelm line doesn't do it justice! They have an ivory cotton lace over a champagne underlay that screams couture bridal for just around $1,000. <3
Any chance we could do a guy's CAI/GOI? My dad is set on all the groomsmen wearing tuxes to our August farm wedding and my groom decided this is something he's willing to go with my dad on. Is men's warehouse really our only rental option? Is renting always the most cost effective route? Are there other possibilities I'm just completely missing out on? My bridesmaids dresses were $40 (thank you convertible dresses from Ideeli!) and we'd like to keep the groomsmen costs down too if possible. Thanks!
I wonder if anyone can find that Allure Bridals dress (#7) at a lower price? Hmmm!
Anntaylor.com just had a 40% off sale for xmas so I snagged that dress for only $537! (I got it and it's way too big so I have to exchange it) Looks like they're having a 50% off sale today but that dress is excluded
Don't forget the lace V-neck, V-back at Davids! It's my dress and gorgeous! and on sale for $599 right now
