Accessorize!

Reader requests are my favorite (hint, hint)!  The latest is an email from a reader who bought a beautiful dress from David’s Bridal, but needs help accessorizing it.

Pretty, right? Well, wait till you see the back:

The wedding colors are hydrangea blue, delphinium blue, lemon and sage. So let’s accessorize this gorge dress broke-ass style, shall we?

Colored shoes are the perfect way to add ZING! to a wedding ensemble. These Nina shoes from Zappos cost just $90.

These earrings from 1928 cost $32 and will frame your face beautifully:

A long veil would distract from that amazing ruffle on the back of your dress, so I’d recommend a birdcage veil with a sassy flower, like this one from Etsy seller WearableArtz ($58):

Who can resist a lovely pearly/sparkly combo bracelet from Forever 21 for just $8? Not me!

And finally, a necklace that’s delicate but which will still make an impact. This Blu Bijoux crystal necklace from Max & Chloe costs $38.

So, there you go: some bad-ass bridal accessories on a broke-ass budget!

    this post couldn't have come at a better time. 3 weeks until my wedding and i still haven't found jewelry! i was looking at that necklace on max & chloe yesterday and thinking about getting it… i think you may have just sold me on it. :)

    HOORAY! I just had a bunch of worries last night about my wedding jewelry, and this necklace is PERFECT. Even more perfect – it's on final sale, and is actually $19 instead of the original $38. Go, my fellow broke-asses, and nab the necklace!
