For Japan, With Love
There’s not much I can say about the devastation in Japan that hasn’t already been said. Its simply heartbreaking. One thing that continually blows my mind about the blogging community is our ability to come together in times like these and rally support for those in need.
Enter Lydia (our real weddings editor and the talent behind Ever Ours), and Lucia and Henny (the utterly brilliant Utterly Engaged team), who have organized For Japan, With Love – a fundraiser for earthquake/tsunami relief which culminates this Friday with a Bloggers’ Day of Silence.

All donations through For Japan, With Love go to ShelterBox, which provides emergency shelter and lifesaving supplies for families around the world who are affected by disasters at the time when they need it the most. Each large, green ShelterBox is tailored to a disaster but typically contains a disaster relief tent for an extended family, blankets, water storage and purification equipment, cooking utensils, a stove, a basic tool kit, a children’s activity pack and other vital items.
If you’re a blogger, please consider joining us this Friday in the Bloggers’ Day of Silence out of honor and respect for Japan’s long road toward healing. If you’re interested in participating, please e-mail lydia@ever-ours.com or info@utterlyengaged.com for more information.
Thanks to Lydia and Lucia for organizing this heartfelt effort! And thanks to all of you for your support.
