{Can’t Afford It/Get Over It} Grace Kelly-Inspired Gowns with Sleeves
Bride Melissa wrote in asking us to find her a Grace Kelly-inspired gown with sleeves. In Melissa’s initial search for “sleeved bridal gowns,” she found gowns that exuded too much modesty and not enough style. So she’s been having trouble finding something that pops.

I adore the Grace Kelly #11 from Love June… if I had a body to go with the dress, I'd SO pick that!!!
For a while I was avoiding this series to prevent regrets about my dress, but I, to borrow an expression "got over it," and I am so impressed with your selections/fascinated with the results. Sometimes you can see where the money goes into expensive dresses, and sometimes it is a total mystery. Keep up the great work, Britt, and I hope you find the dress of your dreams, Melissa!

Great finds! It seems like everything these days is sleeveless, so I know how hard it is to find something with straps or sleeves. When I was in a bridal shop (a large and well-known store in my area) and informed the saleslady that I did not want a strapless gown, she was actually pretty rude and said "Well, that eliminates 99% of the dresses here. You'll have a hard time finding something, but good luck." Gee, thanks.
I love the Kathy Ireland weddings dress. Who knew that she was doing bridal wear?! For less formal options, I love the Stop Staring dress and the Dolly Couture dress (where the model is opening up the oven). I've seen the second one before and it's adorable. It would look super cute with a birdcage veil or with a satin pillbox hat.
I would also suggest that if you see a dress you love that doesn't have sleeves, you might want to look into buying a shrug, bolero, or shawl, or seeing if a tailor could add an illusion neckline.

I added sleeves to my Dolly Couture gown and made all sorts of changes and it was still under the $1,000 mark!

Another great one is from the new Vera Wang collection White made for for David's Bridal coming out next week. There is a long sleeved one that is inspired by Ivanka Trump's wedding dress that is super gorgeous.

thought people might find this interesting – i think they ship to the USA but it's a much much cheaper version of the dress you showed in the last email and i think it fits in with this selection too kinda lol
