{MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!} Fabulous Engagement Rings for Under $300!

Merry Christmas from Chicago! We are surrounded by family, sipping on cocoa, as we  enjoy a white Christmas. We hope you are having an amazing day surrounded by loved ones. Whether you are with the ones you love or stuck in a land far away, you’ve always got us and we love you long time! MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM YOUR BROKE-ASS FAMILY!!! (and for our Jewish friends Happy Chinese Take-Out Day!)

And now on to our Frugal Fashionista Dana F.’s latest post…
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I’ve got a secret for you – my vintage diamond engagement ring cost just $250 at a secondhand jewelry store. And I couldn’t possibly love it more.
In my opinion, “two months salary” is a bunch of malarkey. An engagement ring doesn’t have to break the bank, it just needs to symbolize the commitment. So here are a handful (no pun intended) of adorable, unique engagement rings that cost less than one week’s salary instead.
Click the images for links.
$260 –  Blanca Monros Gomez diamond flower ring
$88 – Katie Diamond Labaradorite Kama Ring
$233 – Diamond Ring from Overstock.com
$128 – Pear Shaped Topaz Ring from Etsy seller onegarnetgirl
$278 – Ruby Ring from Etsy seller esdesigns
$230 – Antique Diamond Ring from eBay
$298 – Black Onyx Ring from Gemvara
$122 – Carla Caruso White Sapphire Ring
If anyone else has some suggestions for unique engagement rings, I’m sure we’d all like to hear ‘em! Bring it on!
    I suggest looking in family jewelry boxes before you spend any money….if you find something you like you will have a unique ring that has sentimental value. I'm wearing the most beautiful ring (in my opinion) that no one else has because it was my Grandmother's. We only paid for the re-plating of the metal and the cleaning (~$150). Now, every time I look down at my ring I think of her and my fiance…it's wonderful!
    My fiance got this ring for me and I LOVE IT! He really hit the nail on the head with my personality! :)
    That pear-shaped ring is so lovely!
    My fiance got me a moissanite ring from moissaniteco.com. It is so gorgeous and the prices for moissanite are so much less than diamonds.
    turtleloveco.com has beautiful, unique and affordable rings — and bonus! most of them are from organic and/or recycled materials :-)
    My mother gave me my (late) fathers wedding band and my finace loves it! the only problem is it is about 8 sizes too small for him. But what better way to keep it in the family and keep it local than to resize it just down the street! total cost???? but I'm sure it's way cheaper than buying a new ring! (Same with my wedding band, but I thought it was sweet that my husband was going to wear my late father ring)
    My fiance got me a 2 karat peridot surrounded in tiny diamonds and diamonds on the band for $500. I friggin love it and there was no way I was letting him waste 2 months salary, especially when we're paying for the wedding ourselves.
    I got my behind slammed on a bridal website for suggesting what a waste it was to spend all of that money on diamonds, when they really aren't worth what you pay for them. Case in point: my $4,000 bridal set from a previous marriage only fetched me $170, the exact cost of the gold weight! The diamonds were worth $0. When I think of all of the other stuff I could have done with that money than waste it on that ring, it makes me want to swear off diamonds forever!
    I absolutely love these options! I'll bear this in mind for the next time I get married!
    wow that's awful, sorry you couldn't get more of it!
    I think diamonds are fairly over-rated anyway, I'd rather have some color! :)
