{Wedding Inspiration} Step out like a Gypsy
This week I was struggling with ideas for wedding inspiration, and Dana came up with the concept of a gypsy themed wedding. How FABULOUS is that?! Pitch a tent, fill some old glass bottles with terrariums, and throw on plenty of gold bangles and scarves. Of course you can have more than just ceremonious cake cutting…. get some tarot cards and crystal balls and entertain your guests. Can you picture it? I’m a little bit in love.
The ring in the picture is juicy couture the earrings can be found here, and the dress can be found at here.
Bam! Look at all those colors. Gold accents, baby blues, crystals and a caravan. Swoon. Loving this tent for party guests. It’s just a print I found, but can you tell how much I love this? I’ve already chosen tents for my non-existent gypsy wedding obsession. What? I am sane.
Of course, for decor, terrariums are a must. I found these on etsy all for 30 buckaroos. Holla! Just enter the term “terrarium” into the search on etsy and a whole little world of gorgeous air plants in vases pops up. What did people even DO before internet? Honestly.
I love all the colors and variation of shapes here. Find them here.
If I were a gypsy bride, I think I’d go with this unique veil and vintage dress (also found on etsy.) AND, the dress is only $135……whaaaa? I know, craziness!
I like that it’s less of a veil and more of a scarf. What do you think? Find it here.
This vintage stunner has some sweet detailing and a gorgeous look to it. Find it here.
If you’re willing to shell out a lil’ (ok, a lot) more dough on your dress, Dana’s pick is the Claire Pettibone stunner, the Juliet.
This dress is stupid gorgeous. Seriously. Can I wear this everyday, please?
What are your thoughts on this gypsy styled wedding? Does it seem like something you would do?
Have any ideas for mood boards you would love to see? Pick some colors or themes and leave them in the comments, and I’ll make one for ya!

oh, someone hasn't seen the "My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding" documentary then! Seriously, this is NOT the gypsy style… (but IMHO, way nicer!)

I think I've found my new wedding theme! I seriously love the dress at the top and it goes well with the beach wedding i'd love to have one day. Now, I just need to find a husband!
@melissa – I haven't heard of that show but those dresses are terrible – way over the top – I don't think there is anything 'broke ass' about those weddings. Yuck – the gypsy style in this post is much nicer indeed.
I would love to see mood boards for audrey hepburn style, 60s, enchanted garden, tim burton alice in wonderland and also tim burton's the corpse bride! i really enjoy ur mood boards, they are a great inspiration…
I am just in starting the madness that is wedding planning, and was hoping you might make a board for me if you have time?!
We are planning for a summer (july) wedding. My dress is a very plain silky cowlneck dress with an open plunging back with ruching over the booty and a slight train. I love teals/turquoise and pinks, gardenias and stargazer lilies. Thanks so much!
Oh and joking around we were thinking of Kazoos or something instead of that darn clicking of glasses or ringing of bells. Haha dorky I know, but I have a feeling my fiance would really like it much better. I dont know how to incorporate that!
