This is a brilliant post! I use moodboards with clients so I can ensure I've got the 'essence' of their wedding and then we pretty much scrap it. It's way too limiting and actually makes you feel like your wedding isn't as 'pretty/cool/amazing' as it could be. It's much better just to go with what you want and like whether it 'fits' in with your moodboard or not.

Oh my gosh, you totally just validated me! Everything you said about making the inspiration board, and then deciding to let go and not have such strict parameters on yourself, is totally how I have been feeling. Thank you for letting this crazy planning bride out here know it's OK to scrap the original ideas and go a little more with the flow.

The website Style Me Pretty has a template that is pretty user friendly. The first board I made was me resizing pictures and putting them together to kinda make it look like a board (i had no idea at first).
