The Broke-Ass Bride is Reborn!
Well, lookey here… We done up and got ourselves made-over! Introducing the bigger, better and radder than ever, The Broke-Ass Bride v.2: electric bugaloo! We’re coming at you more user-friendly and resourceful than ever, but don’t be fooled by the looks that we rock, we’re still we’re still Broke-Ass from the block! *dance break*
This redesign has been a labor of family love. It’s the shiny happy blogchild that I’ve always envisioned, thanks to the help of my brilliant, newly engaged (!), and endlessly patient Programmer (aka my big brother Michael), and the ever dedicated and patient Fresh Hubby himself. We’ve been scheming of new and exciting features all year, and I’m positively giddy about finally revealing what we’ve been cooking up!
So have a wander ’round, but be sure to check out:
- The ABOUT page, aka the Broke-Ass Manifesto (lite). You’ll also find our POLICIES page, where the nitty gritty about privacy and disclosures lives.
- The ALERTS page, where we’re tracking the latest and hottest deals, discounts, contests and freebies around. You can also SUBMIT AN ALERT to spread the wealth when you source a savvy steal!
- The RESOURCES page, which we’re developing to be expanded and better categorized for easier browsing.
- The COLLECTIONS page is still hush-hush, but we’ll be making an exciting announcement soon – so stay tuned!
- The CONSULTING page. Announcing Broke-Ass Consulting – providing advising services to couples who are planning their own weddings, but require periodic guidance and strategy support along the way, on an as-needed and affordable basis. Learn more about it here.
- Our CATEGORIES drop down menu makes it easy peasy to navigate through previous posts, sorted by topic.
- The Widgets at the bottom of each post make it easier than ever to share posts via your favorite social media tools.
- We’re making our site greener, by using Online Leaf’s Standby Screen. If you’re on the site for 4+ minutes with no activity, the page will darken and go into energy-saver mode. But don’t fret, all it takes is the scoot of a mouse or the tap of a key to bring the screen back, quick like a bunny. Just one small step toward a greener tomorrow!
