Omg I make monkey bread all the time for my family! My cousins devour that stuff so fast you'd swear they had superhuman food-inhalation abilities. I long for it on occasion…. in other words every flipping day.

I make that stuff, but I put brown sugar-glazed toasted pecans in the pan first, so when you pop it out the pecans are on the top. It's so, so so so good.

That looks so yummy. I just went and got lunch and saw a bunt cake similar to how this cake looks. Ohh, I would be in big trouble if I made this. Your blog is just too much fun. Oh, and I live in Southern CA too. Such a great place to live!

HECK. YES. monkey bread is my perfect splurge. Basically any variation of the cinnamon/sugar/dough combination is enough to get me salivating but monkey bread takes the cake, no pun intended.

FYI – Wal-Mart has a version of this in their freezer section. You nuke it for a ridiculously short time and it's FABULOUS. My mom and I use to make Monkey Bread from scratch when I was a kid. The Wal-Mart stuff is just as good. No kidding.
