Now, I wouldn't consider myself a style-maven but in my opinion, the wood and different colors and textures of the saris would absolutely BEG for beautiful colored glass or wood vases...or...even the silver-plated Indian service sets and trinkets (my best friend is Indian and her parents' house and restaurant are full of these lovelies) and colorful exotic flowers of all different types. Ooo...or what about plates or dishes of colorful spices or blooms--even a mild incense to make it just that much more exotic...I really like the feathers too. Eek![little happy dance] Dana, your day is going to be SO. COOL. And LANTERNS. What about lanterns? And even the desert table, gift table, photo booth (if you are having one) could be set up like stalls at an Indian bazaar, with curtains and saris and...ok, wait, I think I'm getting carried away... :) How GORGEOUS! I think the saris would be lovely and don’t think you need to go with all ivory flowers. So long as the busy pattern stays in the saris – simple colored vases with colorful flowers should look fabulous. I guess it all depends on the pattern and colors of your sari runners.
