Pay it Forward, Bridesmaid Style!

Sarah over at the Wedding Hub emailed me about this fantastic online charity drive: The Cinderella Affair. This is a yearly event held by the Tempe Community Council to assist high school juniors and seniors with the high cost of prom by collecting and distributing gently-used formal wear. Ladies, this is your chance to donate a used bridesmaid dress (or other gently used formal wear) to underprivileged High School girls so they can feel like Cinderella on their prom night.
They’re also holding a giveaway to sweeten the deal, and I hear the prizes are pretty fierce. Email Hannah@thewhub.com for information on where to send the dresses or how to get involved. Hurry, you’ve only got until February 6, 2009 to make a girl’s prom dreams come true, and clean out your closet in the process!
Yeah! I live in Tempe, AZ and think this is a fabulous idea and also posted on my blog. I have a couple of pairs of shoes and a dress I will be donating. Does anyone know of similar events in other areas?
