Tagged… I’m it!

Whew – a 3 post day. Unemployment, yo.

My girl Rachel, over at Girl Learning Along the Way, tagged me a few weeks ago, and I’m just finally getting around to it! This is a fun one….

First off is the “Bookworm Award”.

The rules are as follows…Pass it on to six other bloggers, and tell them to open the nearest book to page 56. Write out the fifth sentence on that page as well as the following few sentences. The CLOSEST BOOK, NOT YOUR FAVORITE, OR MOST INTELLECTUAL!!

My closest book happens to actually be one of my favorites: “The George Bernard Shaw Vegetarian Cookbook” but the sentence thing doesn’t work with recipes. So the next closest is “I Know This Much is True” by Wally Lamb.
“After the worst times, the loudest shouting, I’d sometimes circle around the backyard, my arms swooping wildly at passing planes. Sky would spot me, I imagined – make an emergency landing, having located us at last: his long-lost wife, his twin sons. “

Guh… I just love that book.

Now we have the “Kreativ Blogger Award”.

The rules are to list 6 things you value and 6 things you don’t and then pass this award on to 6 people!

6 things I value:

1 – The look in Hunter’s eyes when he makes me laugh.
2 – The look on Paco’s face when we come home and its obvious he just woke up from a nap.
3 – My family and friends and their amazing support and love.
4 – A tall, cold beer with a slice of lemon – as tasted on my porch during a sunset.
5 – The feeling of taking a risk and knowing I’ve got people to catch me if I fall.
6 – Still having my eyesight.

6 things I DON’T value are:
1 – People who love to preach but refuse to listen
2 – Cockroaches in my home – human or insect :)
3 – People who are cruel to any living thing.
4 – Intolerance
5 – People who are stagnate or toxic
6 – Cigarettes

    That’d be a challenge for anyone who has a bookcase. “So based upon the trajectory this book must be closest to me.”
